  • Purdue schedules football series with Missouri
    Purdue and Missouri will meet in a football clash between the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference. The Boilermakers travel to Columbia, Missouri on Sept. 16, 2017. They host the Tigers on Sept.

Purdue draws Boston College in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Purdue will stay at home this year when it plays in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The Boilermakers will play host to Boston College on Dec. 4, the conferences announced when the pairings were released Wednesday.

Purdue defeated Clemson 73-61 on the road in last year's Challenge. The Boilers have won four straight games in the Challenge and are 6-6 in the event.

Purdue's game agaisnt Boston College will be the third meeting between the programs. The Boilermakers have won the two previous games.

Purdue defeated Boston College 82-54 on Dec. 28, 1978, in Honolulu, and the Boilmakers defeated the Eagles 71-64 in Madison Square Garden on Nov. 26, 2008.

The Challenge games, which pits the 12 Big Ten schools against 12 of 15 ACC schools, will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Game times and networks will be announced at a later date.

The ACC leads the Challenge 10-3-1 after the conferences split last year's series 6-6.
