Luers' job officially open

Bishop Luers released a statement about James Blackmon Sr. officially resigning as boys basketball coach Tuesday.

It read:

"Bishop Luers Athletic Department announces the official resignation of Head Coach James Blackmon as the Boys' Varsity Basketball Program. Mr. Blackmon thanked Bishop Luers High School for our support over the past nine years and opportunity to lead the program. Bishop Luers Athletic Department wishes Mr. Blackmon success at Marion High School and are now officially accepting applications for the Boys' Basketball Program. Credentials will be accepted until May 24th and can be submitted to Mr. Jim Huth, Athletic Director, jhuth@bishopluer.org."

Blackmon Sr. took the boys basketball coaching position at Marion, his alma mater, last month.
