2 Whitley companies expanding

Two Whitley County companies are expanding operations, officials announced today.

ChromaSource is investing $1.1 million in new equipment and adding 12 jobs to its workforce of 110. The Columbia City company at 2433 S. County Road 600 East makes color systems and color cards, such as those used by paint companies in retail displays.

Red Star Manufacturing, a Larwill-based company, is investing $180,000 to buy new equipment and expand its manufacturing floor.

The company, which makes insert injection molds, expects to add one full-time and one part-time employee to its staff of seven.
