Reese addresses arrest

Reese Witherspoon recalled that she panicked, said some “crazy things” and even claimed to be pregnant the night she was arrested in Atlanta on a disorderly conduct charge.

During an interview Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Witherspoon repeatedly apologized for her behavior during the April 19 traffic stop.

In her first sit-down interview about the arrest, the Oscar-winning actress told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that she had “one too many” glasses of wine and panicked after she and her husband were pulled over.

“I have no idea what I was saying that night,” she said. “I literally panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I told them I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant.”

Performers set

Nicki Minaj and her mentor, Lil Wayne, will join forces for a performance at the Billboard Music Awards, to be presented May 19 in Las Vegas.

Billboard announced additional performers Thursday. They include Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, Akon, Ne-Yo and Icona Pop.

Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and fun. are finalists in 11 categories. Swift, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Rihanna and One Direction will compete for the top artist award.

Prince, who will receive the icon award, will also perform.

Charity concert

Organizers say Jennifer Lopez has joined the lineup of a Beyoncé-headlined charity concert in London next month.

John Legend, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding and Florence + the Machine are also due to perform at the “Sound of Change Live” show at Twickenham Stadium on June 1.

James Franco, Blake Lively and Jada Pinkett Smith have been lined up as presenters.

The concert is raising funds for Chime for Change, a Gucci-backed campaign to support projects improving health, education and justice for women around the world.

Musical closing

“Viva Forever”? Not as it turns out.

Producers announced Thursday that the Spice Girls musical will close at London’s Piccadilly Theater on June 29 after a six-month run.

Producer Judy Craymer said despite tweaks since the show opened in December, “we just can’t make it work.”
