ISTEP+ full testing to resume Monday

Statement as issued Friday by the Indiana Department of Education:

INDIANAPOLIS – Based upon assurances made by CTB McGraw-Hill, the Indiana Department of Education will continue ISTEP+ testing for Hoosier schools on Monday, May 6 at their regular testing levels. CTB McGraw-Hill has informed IDOE it is confident that fixes made to their servers in the last week will allow for full testing.

Schools have reported minimal interruptions throughout the day and as of 11:30 AM, over 175,000 testing sessions were completed statewide Friday. In total, over 1.2 million testing sessions have been completed this week, roughly 48% of the total expected sessions for the ISTEP+.

Today, Superintendent Ritz spoke with superintendents throughout the state about the testing issues they encountered this week. She remains committed to working with schools, students and parents to ensure that they have the time they need to guarantee all Hoosier students have the opportunity to take a fair test.
