It took 12 innings and two days to complete, but South Adams outlasted visiting Garrett 14-13 in baseball Wednesday.
The game was suspended because of darkness Tuesday with the game tied at 13 in the top of the ninth inning. South Adams scored a run in the bottom of the 12th to finally conclude the marathon game.
The Starfires scored 11 runs in the seventh and eighth innings, while Garrett scored six runs in the top of the eighth.
Collin Affolder was 4 for 5 with two runs scored for South Adams, which had 18 hits. Garrett finished with 12 hits and nine errors.
CONCORDIA 7, NORTHROP 5: The visiting Cadets scored four runs in the final two innings to rally.
The Cadets trailed 5-3 before scoring twice each in the sixth and seventh innings. Josh Haddock got the win, while Brian Gremaux picked up the save.
BISHOP LUERS 164, CANTERBURY 168: Joe Leja’s 37 helped the Knights get past the Cavaliers at Chestnut Hills.
Joe Korjenek added a 41 for Luers, while four players had a 42 for Canterbury.
SNIDER 168, WOODLAN 170: The Panthers slipped past the host Warriors at Pond-A-River.
Zach Parks led Snider with a 37, while Cameron Voss had a 38 for Woodlan.
BISHOP DWENGER 10, SOUTH SIDE 0: Demetra Burns tossed a five-inning no-hitter for the host Saints.
Burns struck out seven and walked one.
LEO 3, GARRETT 0: The Lions improved to 3-0 in the ACAC with the home win.
Leo (10-2) got the shutout from Jessica Claxton, who struck out 11.
CARROLL 5, NORWELL 0: The host Chargers improved to 12-1 overall and 3-0 in the NHC.
Taylor Stanchin and Catherine Curtis had the closest match, winning at No. 2 doubles over Carlee Harnish and Lauren Chaney, 6-4, 7-5.
