Water system to get computer model

Fort Wayne Board of Public Works approved a contract Wednesday with a firm to do computer modeling of the city’s water system.

The deal calls for paying Optimatics LLC $89,830 for the work.

It will use high-speed computers to run models of the municipal water system and make recommendations on how to make it more efficient and better performing.

Officials said the city is pleased with the firm’s previous work.
