SPCA adoptions set April record

The Allen County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals had a record-setting adoption month in April with 94, the shelter’s director announced this week.

In 2012, 819 cats and dogs were adopted. The organization says it hopes to reach a goal of 1,000 pets adopted this year.

To adopt a pet, or for more information, go online to www.acspca.org or visit the shelter at 4914 S. Hanna St. Shelter hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
