Concordia QB commits to Ball State

Concordia junior quarterback David Morrison orally committed Thursday to play football at Ball State.

“I just felt like it was the right fit for me,” Morrison said. “The offense goes well with my style.”

Morrison was a second-team All-SAC selection last year after throwing for 1,839 yards and 15 touchdowns. Morrison is also a part of the AWP 7-on-7 football team.

Ball State was the first offer Morrison received.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Morrison also had interest from Indiana, Purdue, Bowling Green and Miami (Ohio). IU and Bowling Green watched Morrison throw this week.

“I was talking with some of the other coaches and just decided I wanted to be at Ball State so I decided to commit because I didn’t think there was a better option out there for me,” he said.

The Cadets finished 2-8 last year in Morrison’s first season playing quarterback.
