Some updates

There's nothing new to report on the Komets' coaching situation, as neither the Komets nor Al Sims has called me back.

I'm sure, by now, Sims is talking to some other teams to gauge potential interest should the Komets opt to hire someone else.

As for former Komets: Bryant Molle is scoreless and plus-1 in 10 playoff games with Reading; Mike Ratchuk has one goal, seven points and a minus-9 rating in 11 games for Florida, with whom Brent Henley has an assist and 34 penalty minutes; for Alaska, Tom Mele and Dustin Molle are both scoreless and played in a combined four games.

The CHL finals, won last season by the Komets, begins Tuesday between Wichita and Allen. Here's the Allen roster and here's the Wichita roster.

My prediction -- made not to be funny -- is Wichita ... in six. Although, this makes it funny: Click here.
