Public’s help sought In copper wire theft

Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne are asking for the public’s help in finding who stole buried copper wire from light posts along Interstate 69.

State police said about 2,400 feet of buried No. 4 wire, valued at several thousand dollars, was taken between March 22 and April 16 in the area just south of Goshen Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Wayne post at 260-432-8661 or toll-free in Indiana at 800-552-0976.
