  • Purdue schedules football series with Missouri

    With nearly 6,000 bleacher seats removed, the south end zone at Ross-Ade Stadium is being turned into a patio area that serves alcohol and food during games, Purdue announced Tuesday.

Short selected by Panthers in 2nd round

Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short has been picked by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Short was the 12th pick of the second round, and 44th selection overall, after a second-team All-America season and making first-team All-Big Ten in his final season with the Boilermakers. He had 186 tackles, 49 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks in his career.

Purdue has had at least one player drafted in each of the last 16 NFL drafts, and he is the program's ninth defensive lineman to be picked in the draft in the last 10 years.
