New aid director, arts dean for IPFW

IPFW has announced two appointments following nationwide searches.

John O’Connell will be the new dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and David Peterson is the new director of financial aid.

O’Connell began his tenure at IPFW in 2007 as chairman and professor of the Department of Theatre. He was previously at Arkansas State University, as an assistant and then associate professor of theater.

Peterson has held numerous positions at various colleges and universities over the past 17 years, and he has served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserve for a total of 24 years in both stateside and overseas deployments.
