Te'o goes undrafted

Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o was not taken in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night.

Te’o entered the draft as one of the most talked about players available after a stellar regular season with the Irish that took a dent after his performances in the BCS championship game loss to Alabama and at the combine.

He also was at the center of controversy when it was revealed that the woman he believed to be his girlfriend was a hoax.

Te'o's teammate, tight end Tyler Eifert, a former Bishop Dwenger player, was drafted by Cincinnati with the 21st overall pick
