Information sought in deadly hit-and-run

The Fort Wayne Police Department has released a photo of the type of vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a Fort Wayne man dead.

Hoping to jog memories, police distributed a photo Tuesday of a 1997-1998 teal and tan Ford Expedition. Police said the actual SUV involved would have had damage on the front passenger side.

The vehicle was missing the front headlight lens, and the turn signal was broken out, police said in a written statement Tuesday along with the photo.

Jason Gnagey, 27, was struck and killed on his motorcycle at Wayne and Clay streets about 2:30 a.m. April 14.
