I spoke to Komets goaltender Pat Nagle. Super nice guy. And I don't just say that because we're both from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Update on Sims, more

General manager David Franke said the Komets have yet to "finalize" anything, as it pertains to the coaching situation. So coach Al Sims, who won championships in 1993, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012, remains blowing in the wind.

Franke said it could be a couple weeks before the team makes an announcement.

Don't fret, though; I think it will be much sooner.

Looking for the players the Komets should pillage immediately (or when signings are allowed by the ECHL) from the Trenton roster??

The top unaffiliated players on the Titans were: Jacob Cepis, Stephen Schultz, Andy Bohmbach, Mike Ulrich and (hint, hint) Eric Baier.

It's funny how often people ask me about Indianapolis -- when/if it will happen -- and I just don't have much to tell you beyond the annual rumors. But I can tell you, even from afar, it's clearly a divisive issue on whether there should be professional or junior hockey there. From the people I speak to on it, though, pros is the preference. But I'm sure another reporter would have another take.
