The good news was, the TinCaps continued to rough up Midwest League pitching. The bad news was, Bowling Green did it better.
The Hot Rods scored in every inning today against three TinCaps pitchers, rolling to a second straight victory over Fort Wayne, this time by a 12-6 count. Starter and losing pitcher Erik Cabrera got the brunt of the abuse for the TinCaps, lasting only 3 1/3 innings and giving up seven hits and six runs, all earned.
The TinCaps, meanwhile, rapped out 11 more hits, led by Brian Adams, Jeremy Baltz, Dane Phillips and Stephen Carmon, who each had two apiece. One of Baltz' hits was a two-run homer in the eighth, his fourth of the season.
