Some days are just better than others.
And so here were the Boston Red Sox and here were their fans at Fenway Park Saturday, less than 24 hours after Boston police and the FBI took the second marathon bombing suspect alive against every odd in every book, and it was ... magic.
Two cool things:
1. David Ortiz dropping an F-bomb in his passionate pregame remarks to the crowd -- "This is our (bleeping) city. Nobody is going to dictate our freedom." -- and the FCC saying it was perfectly OK with it under the circumstances.
2. Neil Diamond showing up unannounced from the West Coast to lead the crowd in "Sweet Caroline."
Now that's a day.
