•The Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana will host its annual “Noche de Gala” at 6:30 p.m. today at Ceruti’s Summit Park, 6601 Innovation Blvd. The event raises money for the Becca HLCNI scholarship that helps local Hispanic high school seniors and college students with financial assistance for college. JH Specialty and Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana are hosting a communitywide e-waste, recycling and donation drive from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at JH Specialty, 6032 Huguenard Road. Items accepted include working and nonworking electronic equipment, such as phones and computers, as well as gently used accessories, household goods, books and collectibles. Goodwill will also take clothing and shoes.

Early Childhood Alliance is hosting its annual reception at 5 p.m. Wednesday at The History Center, 302 E. Berry St., as part of its 60th anniversary celebration.

Giving back

Standing Ovation Performance Apparel in Fort Wayne is raising money for Jane Richard, the 7-year-old sister of Martin Richard, who died in the Boston Marathon bombing. Jane, a dancer, lost her leg and her mother suffered severe head injuries. The money will help with medical costs and rehabilitation so she can dance again.
