TinCaps postponed; back home today

– Fort Wayne’s game Thursday in South Bend was postponed because of rain and will be made up May 23 in a doubleheader against the Silver Hawks at Parkview Field.

The TinCaps will be the home team in both games, which will run seven innings.

Fans with tickets to the game will be admitted to both, according to a statement from the team. Gates will open at 5:05 p.m. that day, and the doubleheader will begin at 6:05 p.m.

The makeup has been rescheduled to take place in Fort Wayne instead of South Bend because the TinCaps do not play at the Silver Hawks for the remainder of the season’s first-half calendar.

Fort Wayne (6-6) will play the Lansing Lugnuts at 7:05 p.m. today at home. Reigning Midwest League Pitcher of the Week Joe Ross is scheduled for the TinCaps opposed by the Lugnuts’ Roberto Osuna.
