Rivera All-MIVA first team

IPFW junior outside hitter Eddie Rivera was named to the All-MIVA first team, announced Wednesday.

Rivera leads the Mastodons (13-12) with 320 kills in 25 matches. He is second on the team with 22 aces.

IPFW will face Ball State (20-5) in the opening round of the MIVA tournament Saturday at Worthen Arena in Muncie, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Mastodons, the No. 6 seed, will play either No. 2 Loyola or No. 7 Quincy in the semifinals Wednesday on the higher seed's home court.
