South Bend takes down TinCaps

Another close game, another loss for the TinCaps.

Fort Wayne (6-6) lost its second-straight one-run game today in a 4-3 decision against South Bend (8-2) on the road. The Silver Hawks were down 3-1 in the eighth inning, but once again the TinCaps bullpen came up short.

The TinCaps got their bats going after a 2-for-27 outing Tuesday, and Fort Wayne put together 10 hits to push ahead. But relief pitcher Genison Reyes gave up three runs in the bottom of the eighth, with only one earned.

Luis Tejada had two doubles and a RBI for Fort Wayne, which lost its fifth-straight game on the road. The first-place Silver Hawks, meanwhile, have won seven straight.
