Former President George W. Bush has become a grandfather.

His twin daughter Jenna Bush Hager gave birth to her first child, a daughter, on Saturday night in New York City.

The former president announced the birth in a statement Sunday. The baby’s name is Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager.

Jenna Bush Hager, 31, is a contributing correspondent for the “Today” show. She’s married to Henry Hager, 34.

The former president said the baby was named for her grandmothers. He said he and former first lady Laura Bush met their “beautiful granddaughter today,” adding, “Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.”

Woman throws razor at ‘X-Men’ actor

It was a hair-raising experience for actor Hugh Jackman at a New York City gym.

Radio station 1010 WINS reported that Jackman was working out in a gym Saturday morning in Manhattan’s West Village neighborhood when a woman rushed in, crying and shouting that she loved him. The “X-Men” star told the radio station on Sunday that the run-in was frightening.

Police say 47-year-old Kathleen Thurston pulled out a razor filled with hair and threw it at him, then fled and was arrested several blocks from the gym. Jackman wasn’t hurt.

Thurston is charged with stalking and awaits arraignment.

Richards appears at Crossroads festival

Eric Clapton’s Crossroads festival has become the mecca for riff worshippers, so it was appropriate that guitar deity Keith Richards made a surprise appearance to perform with Clapton.

The Rolling Stone received perhaps the most sustained standing ovation Saturday night as he joined his old pal toward the end of Crossroads, a two-night concert festival at New York City’s Madison Square Garden that brought together a dazzling array of guitar masters, including John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy and Keith Urban.

Richards joined Clapton in playing the blues standard and Clapton favorite “Key to the Highway. “

“Now we’re gonna rock it up,” Richards said before launching into “Sweet Little Rock N’ Roller.”

Crossroads Guitar Festival, which benefits Clapton’s Crossroads Centre for substance abuse in Antigua, has been held every three years since 2004; the Friday and Saturday performances were the festival’s first at Madison Square Garden.
