IPFW faces Ball State in MIVA tournament

IPFW will play Ball State in the opening round of the MIVA tournament on Saturday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Worthen Arena in Muncie.

The sixth-seeded Mastodons (13-12, 5-9 MIVA) defeated No. 9-ranked Lewis 3-0 in their final regular season match on Saturday at the Gates Center. Lewis (19-9, 10-4) is the No. 1 overall seed and has a first-round bye.

It will be the third meeting between IPFW and Ball State (20-5, 9-5). In February, IPFW defeated the Cardinals in Muncie, 3-1, but last month, Ball State returned the favor with a 3-1 win at the Gates Center. The win over IPFW is part of a 12-match winning streak for Ball State.
