Offensive lineman commits to Notre Dame

Notre Dame added a second offensive lineman to its 2014 recruiting class Monday.

Sam Mustipher, a 6-foot-4, 286-pounder from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, Md., announced on his Twitter account that he orally committed to the Irish.

Mustipher, whose Twitter handle is @IAmFiveTwo) wrote: "I've decided that I will be attending Notre Dame and will do my best to add all that I can to the Irish academically and athletically!"

Mustipher is rated a four-star recruit by and 247Sports and a three-star recruit by He joins Jimmy Bryne, a four-star recruit from Cleveland, as an offensive lineman to commit to Notre Dame.

Mustipher is the sixth member of the Irish's 2014 recruiting class.
