NHC members release statement

The NHC issued a joint statement Thursday regarding any future changes in membership of the conference.

The statement read: “Conversations have occurred throughout the school year regarding many different factors concerning the NHC member schools. In analyzing many different factors, disparity among schools in terms of enrollment continues to grow. As a result of these discussions, principals and athletic directors will be considering future conference membership affiliations. All member schools will abide by the constitution established by the NHC throughout the process.”

Since 1989, the NHC has been Bellmont, Carroll, Columbia City, DeKalb, East Noble, Homestead, New Haven and Norwell.

Junior locations set

The Indiana Junior All-Stars will play two games against the Kentucky Junior All-Stars on June 7 at Greenfield Central and June 8 at Louisville St. Xavier High School in Kentucky. The Juniors will also play two games against the Indiana Senior All-Stars on June 10 at Sullivan and June 12 at Tipton.

Signings

Blackhawk Christian senior Keegan Williams signed for bowling and golf at Huntington University. … Warsaw senior Sarah Ray signed to run cross country at Olivet Nazarene.

CARROLL 146, NEW HAVEN 179: Stephen Shupert shot a 35 to lead the visiting Chargers. Joey Justice and Reid Worden added 36s.
