Ind. State Fair free stage features current, past stars

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The free stage at this year's Indiana State Fair will ring with echoes of the 1960s and '70s.

Among the acts set to perform during the event in early August are The Turtles, Styx and Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Other acts featured include top 40 country music artist Joe Nichols and teenage Radio Disney star Courtney "Coco" Jones.

Nichols has recorded seven studio albums and 14 Top 40 singles, including No. 1 hits "Gimme That Girl," ''Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and "Brokenheartsville."

Jones has been featured on Radio Disney's Next Big Thing and last year released her debut single "Holla at the DJ." She also starred in the Disney Channel movie "Let It Shine."

Performers will appear on the fair's free stage from Aug. 2-18.
