Junior forward to leave program

Junior forward Sandi Marcius was granted his release from Purdue and plans to look into other options, the program announced today.

Marcius, a native of Croatia, averaged 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Boilermakers in his career. Per various reports, the 6-foot-9 big man was not present at Wednesday's postseason banquet for the Purdue basketball team.

The senior-to-be put up 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game this season while averaging just more than nine minutes a contest.

"We have invested four years and significant resources into helping Sandi develop from both an educational and athletic standpoint," Purdue coach Matt Painter said in a statement.
