SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say five members of a family have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that they skimmed $1.8 million from three restaurants they operated in northern Ohio.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said the family members are accused of taking large amounts of cash from the Dianna's Deli, Dianna's, and The Depot in the Sandusky area. They are accused of structuring financial reports and bank deposits to conceal it.
Named in the indictments announced Monday were 52-year-old Haralambos Gonos; 28-year-old Andreas Gonos; 31-year-old Chris Gonos; 30-year-old Kryiakos Gonos; and 52-year-old Sofia Skoura.
Details of their legal representation weren't available.
