Porch damaged by fire

A fire left moderate damage to the front exterior of a house on the north side of the city Sunday morning, according to Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived at 612 W. Fourth St. about 1:20 a.m. and had the fire under control in eight minutes.

Firefighters found fire on the front porch area and the exterior of the two-story house. Crews quickly had the fire under control and searched the house to find no one was home. One pet was rescued.

The fire remains under investigation.
