    In East Lansing, Michigan, the IPFW women’s doubles team of Marcy Huck and Mayu Sato finished the season-opening tennis tournament at Michigan State undefeated Sunday.
  • Miami (Ohio) blanks IPFW women
    The IPFW women's soccer team (1-6) fell 3-0 at Oxford, Ohio to Miami. Kelsey Dinges scored for the RedHawks in the 25th minute from a free kick deflection to give the hosts a one-goal advantage at halftime.

Big day in softball

Miranda Kramer threw a one-hitter in IPFW's 8-0 victory over Concordia in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday.

Megan Flenniken topped it the following game with a no-hitter - also an 8-0 win.

It was a big day for the Mastodons softball team, which held Concordia to a bunt single the entire day.

In the no-hitter, Flenniken struck out seven and walked two.

The offense was led by Ashleigh Bousquet, who went 4-for-4, with four walks, and six RBI.

Bousquet has 108 career RBI. She is tied with Kristina Karpun for the all-time IPFW record.
