Indiana guard Victor Oladipo was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches as Co-Defensive Player of the Year in a release Sunday.
The IU junior, who is projected as a potential NBA Draft lottery pick, averaged 2.2 steals per game while consistently guarding the best perimeter player on opposing teams. He was previously selected as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-American by the Associated Press and the NABC.
"I thought as a team we showed great improvement on the defensive end of the court this year," Oladipo said in a statement. "This is something I share with my teammates and coaches."
Kansas forward Jeff Withey was also selected as Co-Defensive Player of the Year by the NABC.
