Forward Deshaun Thomas, a Bishop Luers graduate, will forego his final season of eligibility at Ohio State and will enter the NBA draft.

Former Luers standout to enter NBA draft

Ohio State forward and Fort Wayne native Deshaun Thomas will enter the 2013 NBA Draft, the university announced today.

Thomas, a junior at Ohio State and Bishop Luers grauduate, was Indiana Mr. Basketball in his final high school season before signing with the Buckeyes.

Thomas averaged 19.8 points and six rebounds during his final season in Columbus, including 23 points in the final game of his career, a 70-66 loss to Wichita State in the Elite Eight.

He finished his career as one of 25 Buckeyes to score more than 1,000 points and grab more than 500 rebounds.
