Three Rivers Velo Sport rides to begin April 7

– The Three Rivers Velo Sport Club will begin its spring bicycle rides April 7, with the first tour originating from Leo High School.

It is one of seven long-distance tours scheduled in April, and daily rides will begin April 10.

The April 7 tour will leave at noon from the Leo parking lot, and riders are asked to be on time. Maps showing a detour route will be provided.

There will be two distance options – one of 20 miles, another of 40. Also, there will be different pace groups of 14 mph and 20 mph.

The club has a Saturn night on Wednesdays in which Patrick Stelte will lead a 25-mile, fast-paced tour. The group leaves at 6 p.m. from the Saturn church and rides a loop to either Roanoke or Columbia City. Other daily rides are being formed and will not begin until May.

Doug Myers will lead the Bees Rides, which begins April 20 from Carroll High School. The pace is around 14 mph.
