    The Mad Ants’ defense of their D-League championship has gotten off to a rough start. A 99-87 loss Friday at Erie, Pennsylvania, dropped them to 0-3 on the season.

Ants lead Texas at half

Even though Texas finished the second quarter on an 11-3 run, the Mad Ants held a 55-43 halftime lead over the Legends on Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.

Chris Porter's bucket from underneath gave the Ants a 52-32 lead with 3:53 left in the half, but Texas rallied to cut the deficit to 12.

Tony Mitchell leads the Ants with 11 points - all in the first quarter. The Ants bench scored 23 of the team's 24 second-quarter points.
