IPFW wins women's tennis title

IPFW's women's tennis team captured the Summit League regular season title with a 4-0 victory over South Dakota in a league cluster at Bloomfield, Mich. on Friday.

The Mastodons finished the conference with a 7-0 record, marking the fourth time in five years they have won the Summit League regular season championship. IPFW will be the No. 1 seed at the conference tournament that begins April 26 at IPFW.

Friday's win was the 12th straight for the Mastodons (18-7).

Anita Henestrosa and Caterina Kiefer won the No. 1 doubles match, 8-1, with Henestrosa winning at singles, 6-1, 6-0, and Kiefer won 6-0, 6-0.
