Peoria to ECHL?

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Not surprisingly, the St. Louis Blues have pulled out of Peoria. Click here. So what will become of that historic minor-league market? The ECHL would be wise to take a look, especially if rumors about a couple CHL teams jumping ship are true. But what the ECHL really needs: teams closer to California and Alaska.

However, after some in Peoria incorrectly bashed the UHL/second IHL/CHL for so many years as "Single-A hockey," it would be amusing to see them in the CHL or Federal League for a season.
