Ball State to open spring practice Tuesday

Ball State to open spring practice

Spring practice for the Ball State football team begins today in Muncie and will finish up April 20 with the 3 p.m. Spring Game.

Practices are normally 3:30 to 5:50 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, and they are open to the public.

“The most satisfying part of my experience at Ball State has been the daily interaction with our players from when we first arrived right up to the present day,” said coach Pete Lembo, who is in his third year. “It has been a true team approach since Day 1 with everyone in the organization from top to bottom.”

Ball State was 9-4, 6-2 in the MAC, last season. The Cardinals lost to Central Florida 38-17 in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s St. Petersburg Bowl.

“We have a long way to go to build a complete program, but you cannot argue with the progress we have made on and off the field in just two years,” Lembo said. “I believe winning games is a byproduct of the culture we have created here.”
