Indiana Senate president pro-tem: This program will continue

State Sen. David Long, R-Fort Wayne, released the following statement today, following the Indiana Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold the state’s choice scholarship law:

“I’m pleased the Indiana Supreme Court unanimously upheld the General Assembly’s effort to provide more education options to our students. In 2011, the legislature created the Choice Scholarship Program to improve Indiana’s educational system by giving low income families more opportunity to choose where to send their children to school. The ruling today confirms that this program will continue to give parents those options, while also supporting our goals for more accountability and better performance within our schools.”
