    Boilermakers center Robert Kugler was placed on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to the nation's top player at that position.
  • South end zone at Ross-Ade becomes fun zone
    With nearly 6,000 bleacher seats removed, the south end zone at Ross-Ade Stadium is being turned into a patio area that serves alcohol and food during games, Purdue announced Tuesday.

Purdue leads at the half

WEST LAFAYETTE - Ronnie Johnson scored 10 points and handed out four assists to help Purdue to a 37-33 halftime lead over Santa Clara in the College Basketball Invitational on Monday in Mackey Arena.

Purdue, which made 3 of its first 15 shots, fell behind 17-9 before passing up the Broncos 31-30 on Terone Johnson's driving layup with 2:31 remaining in the half.

Although former South Side standout Raphael Davis is yet to score, his seven rebounds have helped Purdue own a 24-17 advantage off the boards. Terone Johnson has eight points, and Anthony Johnson has seven.
