    Culver’s John D. Zeglis, who is the chairman of the Mad Ants, will be inducted into the Indiana Academy for Lifetime Achievement and Contribution on Monday in Indianapolis.

Lead that was 19 now 1

The Mad Ants own a 63-62 halftime lead over Rio Grande Valley on Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.

The Ants broke out to a 12-4 lead, then led by as many as 36-17 late in the first quarter before the Vipers made a push to get back in the game.

Tony Mitchell, who scored 47 points in the team's last game played Friday against Austin, leads the Ants with 21 points, followed by Tommy Smith's 14 and 9 offensive rebounds.

The Ants also unveiled a new player in Demetri McCamey. McCamey, a 6-foot-3 guard, played at Illinois. He has five points on 2 of 4 shooting from the floor.
