Howard out Sunday

The Mad Ants will be without point guard Ron Howard for the second consecutive game when the Ants play Central Division-leading Rio Grande Valley on Sunday at Memorial Coliseum.

Ants coach Duane Ticknor confirmed Howard's absence following a brief practice on Saturday.

Howard, whose 19.1 scoring average is second on the team, suffered a slightly-fractured wrist late in Thursday's victory over Maine and sat out Friday's triple-overtime win over Austin.

The Ants (23-21) are tied with Erie for second place in the East Division. With seven games remaining in the regular season, the Ants are in position to make the D-League playoffs for the first time in team history.
