Concordia falls in 3A state title game

INDIANAPOLIS – Greensburg rallied to beat Concordia 73-70 in overtime in the Class 3A state championship Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Pirates (26-1) trailed by five entering the fourth quarter, but tied the score at 61 and won it in overtime.

It was the first state appearance for the Cadets (24-4).

D.J. McCall led Concordia with 17 points. The Cadets' Thomas Starks won the 3A mental attitude award.

Bryant McIntosh had 25 points for Greensburg.

Concordia never trailed in regulation, but Greensburg managed to tie the score on a couple of occasions in the fourth, including at 61.
