  • 2 NBA players for Mad Ants

Howard out tonight

Mad Ants point guard and second-leading scorer Ron Howard is out of action for tonight's game against Austin.

Howard, who averages 19.1 points and 4.7 assists, got tangled up with a Maine player and fell to the floor with 6:40 remaining in Thursday night's game. Howard got up slowly and walked off the floor with his right arm hanging to his side, but returned to make a basket three minutes later.

Howard later complained of soreness in his right wrist, which was bandaged during this morning's shootaround.

His status for Sunday's game against Rio Grande Valley remains uncertain.

Forward Chris Porter, who did not play Thursday due to flu symptoms, is in uniform for the game against the Toros.
