Ants trail Austin by two

The Mad Ants trail Austin 47-45 at half in Friday's D-League game at Memorial Coliseum.

Fort Wayne is without second-leading scorer Ron Howard, who injured his wrist in Thursday's win.

Without Howard, the Ants will need a big game from leading scorer and fellow D-League all star, Tony Mitchell. And while Mitchell leads the team so far with 12 points, he hasn't tried to hide his dissatisfaction when there have been times the ball hasn't come to him.

During a moment when play was stopped because of free throws, Ants coach Duane Ticknor called Mitchell to the side and quietly had a chat. About what, not sure, but the body language is my guess.

Anthony Richardson has 10 points.
