    Komets forward Eric Faille left the game for a spell in the third period, after he took a stick to the face that required stitches.But he returned and it was a good thing for the Komets; he had one of their two goals in an overtime shootout,

    Right wing Garrett Meurs has made another great play and it has the Komets up 1-0 on the Indy Fuel after two periods at Memorial Coliseum.
  • Scoreless but K's look solid
    The Komets and Indy Fuel are scoreless at Memorial Coliseum after one period, in front of a crowd of 6,798. However, the Komets had plenty of chances to score, namely:

Former K's win title

The Komets may stink, but their Class A affiliate, the Dayton of the Federal Hockey League, made it to the finals.

And it lost to the Danbury Whalers.

Danbury had a couple of notable former Komets: Ed Campbell and Kelly Miller.

Dayton had Brayden Metz.

The Whalers swept the best-of-five series, and there were a bunch of fights late in the third period of the Whalers' 6-3 clinching win tonight.
