  • Purdue schedules football series with Missouri
    Purdue and Missouri will meet in a football clash between the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference. The Boilermakers travel to Columbia, Missouri on Sept. 16, 2017. They host the Tigers on Sept.

    Boilermakers center Robert Kugler was placed on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to the nation's top player at that position.

    With nearly 6,000 bleacher seats removed, the south end zone at Ross-Ade Stadium is being turned into a patio area that serves alcohol and food during games, Purdue announced Tuesday.

Purdue set to play Santa Clara in CBI

Purdue will play host to Santa Clara at 7 p.m. Monday in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational.

The Boilermakers (16-17) advanced with an 81-67 first-round win over Western Illinois.

A.J. Hammons led Purdue with 15 points, and Ronnie Johnson scored 14. Raphael Davis, a Fort Wayne native, had 12 points, and Terone Johnson added 10.

Santa Clara (22-11) advanced with a 77-76 win over Vermont. Kevin Foster led the Broncos with 23 points, and Marc Trasolini and Evan Roquermore added 20 and 12.

Purdue's game will not be televised on AXS TV because only 11 of the possible 17 CBI games can be broadcasted.

AXS TV will air the Houston-George Mason game and the Western Michigan-Wyoming game on Monday.

Tickets for the quarterfinal game are on sale through the Purdue athletic ticket office.

Tickets are available for $25 in the club areas (reserved), $15 in the non-club lower arena (reserved) and $10 in the upper arena (general admission). Youth tickets are available for $5 apiece in the non-club lower arena and upper arena.
