ACAC invites Jay County to join

The ACAC extended an invitation to Jay County for membership into the conference Thursday, according to an email from Bluffton athletic director Steve Thompson.

"There has been no official acceptance from Jay County as they will decide this matter at the next school board meeting," Thompson wrote in the email. "The principals and athletic directors of the ACAC feel that the student athletes, coaches and school personnel, along with the Jay County community, will be a great addition to the conference."

According to media reports, Jay County is also mulling over an offer from the North Central Conference. The Patriots' athletic teams have been independent since the Olympic Athletic Conference folded a few years ago.
