FORT WAYNE – A 21-year-old Fort Wayne man remained in critical condition Monday morning after being shot inside a home early Saturday.
Jordan D. Williams was publicly identified by the Fort Wayne Police Department on Monday morning.
He was shot shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of Bowser Avenue. Several people called police after numerous shots rang out, police said.
Officers found Williams in a home with gunshot wounds. Other people in the residence were not injured.
An investigation revealed that a man knocked on the door of the home and the victim answered the door. The man asked for someone by name and then opened fire. The victim was shot multiple times, police said for an earlier story.
Police found many shell casings of different calibers scattered around the home, suggesting that more than one shooter might have been involved. A gold sport utility vehicle behind the home was seen leaving immediately after the shooting, police said.
Police said it was not clear whether the victim was the person the shooter asked for.
