Amazing feats

The Komets have a hat trick from Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock -- the second of his career and first since 2010 against Quad City -- and they lead the Greenville Road Warriors 3-1 after two periods at Memorial Coliseum.

In other news, the Bantam AA Komets hockey team, based out of the Lutheran Health SportsCenter, won the state title today with a 2-0 victory over the South Bend Irish Rovers and advanced to the national tournament in the under-14 age group at Charlotte, N.C. The team is coached by Komets captain Colin Chaulk and Todd Ramsey.

Justin A. Cohn, pro sports coordinator for The Journal Gazette, has been covering the Fort Wayne Komets since 1997.
